Mayhem: Havenscar Edition

How to Play

Your first game in five steps. One shared screen, everyone else on their phones, and a realm that will not stay quiet.

1 · Put the realm on the big screen

One player is the host. Open Havenscar on a TV or laptop everyone can see, enter your access code, and create a new session. The shared screen becomes the board: the provinces, whose turn it is, and every chaos event as it lands.

2 · Everyone joins from their phone

The host screen shows a six-character join code. Each player opens the join page on their phone, enters the code, and picks a name — no app install, no account. The host deals everyone into a faction: the gilded High Council or the wild-oathed Wildsworn.

3 · Take your turn

On your turn, play one card from the hand on your phone — tap it to hear its narration, then press "Play this card". A replacement is drawn automatically. Then, if you choose, claim or release one province on the board. When you are done, the host presses End Turn.

4 · Fight for the Ring of Power

Six of the realm’s provinces form the Ring of Power, and controlling them is how your faction wins. Claiming a province strips it from whoever held it — and every round, each province you control pays you gold. Watch your Corruption if you sit on the Council: at ten, the Tribunal convenes and turns on its own.

5 · Survive the Bag of Mayhem

Each round the host draws a Chaos Token. Its effect hits every screen with full narration — it may rescue you, ruin you, or rewrite the board. There are twenty tokens in the bag; when the last one is drawn, the final round begins. First faction to hold four Ring provinces — or the strongest when the chaos runs out — takes the realm.

The real game is at the table

The app is the arbiter — it deals, tracks, narrates, and never miscounts. But cards that target other players are played out loud: negotiate, bribe, and threaten in character. Havenscar is at its best when the table is louder than the screen.
